We were thrilled to give $100,000 from the spring festival to CCC Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center for a food truck.

The college has many plans for the food truck including developing a curriculum around the business of running one, and outreach to those within our community who experience food insecurities.

BWF gives back $15,000 to CoreSound Waterfowl Museum & Heritage Center

The money will fund their teacher workshop.

$15,000 for teacher workshop

The workshop, now in its third year, is a multi day workshop that educates county teachers about the history-rich, culturally-strong communities of Down East. The workshop takes teachers on a bus tour of the Down East communities, ferry rides to the village at Cape Lookout, and provides opportunities for curriculum development.

BEAUFORT WINE&FOOD

Since its inception in 2005, Beaufort Wine and Food has focused on a core group of local charities as recipients for the proceeds earned from its event. Through the generosity and support from sponsors, members and wine and culinary participants, Beaufort Wine and Food has donated over $1,000,000 for local non-profits.

Carteret Community College

$100,000

Carteret Community College Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center features a commercial kitchen for students with top of the line equipment to train their students. BWF has contributed $100,000 to this wonderful project.

Salvation Army

$50,000

Funds went toward a commercial kitchen to better enable the Salvation Army to feed our community during disasters and in their collaborative feeding programs.

Carteret County Public School Foundation

$15,000

Funds went towards hurricane relief efforts being spearheaded by the foundation. The donation helped the organization meet a grant challenge, doubling the money going directly to employees and students in need.
