Originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Steve Jordan began his 30-year culinary career attending Johnson & Whales University in Providence RI. He worked with Hyatt Hotels in San Diego and Boston before moving to Atlanta prior to the 1996 Olympics. Then with hotels including Stouffer and Renaissance, for the better part of a decade working his way through the ranks obtaining his first executive chef position.
In 2004 Steve was given the opportunity by Auberge Resorts as Executive Chef to open their first east coast resort, The Inn at Palmetto Bluff. He embraced the low country and created a culinary experience focusing on local seafood, independent farms and the traditional influences of South Carolina cuisine.
In 2007 an opportunity arose to open The Sand Pearl Resort on the gulf coast of Florida in Clearwater Beach. He developed the culinary program focusing on fresh gulf seafood, all natural meats, seasonal organic produce, and maintained the highest standards for over 11 years. Caretta on the Gulf Restaurant, the signature restaurant has received the AAA four diamond award every year since opening. One of only 4 four diamond restaurants in the greater Tampa Bay area.
