Steve Smid has over 15 years experience in the fine dining business and has built a loyal following of patrons who return time and again. He comes to The Cedars from the acclaimed Hampton’s Restaurant of the J.H. Adams Inn in High Point, NC. He left behind the Piedmont/Triad area, where he was recently awarded a 4 star rating from the Greensboro News & Record and brought his talent to the Crystal Coast.
Steve’s cuisine is a blend of Southern classics with a coastal influence, using only the freshest local ingredients. When not in the kitchen, Steve has been involved with several charities including Hospice of the Piedmont, James Beard Foundation, YWCA and United Way. Steve enjoys sharing his food and hospitality with the people of Beaufort and those just passing through.
