Beaufort Wine and Food Presents “The Art of Tasting” Wine Seminar
Beaufort Wine and Food announces their upcoming wine seminar Saturday, July 21st, from 4:30 – 6:00 pm. The seminar will be held in the Beaufort Wine and Food retail wine store, 129 Middle Lane in Beaufort.
The seminar will educate guests on professional methods of wine tasting, and will showcase eight wines in an Old World / New World format. The seminar will be presented by Jessica Sabiston of Empire Distributors.
“Beaufort Wine and Food is pleased to offer this educational seminar to the public.” said Jane Ellis, manager of the Beaufort Wine and Food retail wine store. “Ms. Sabiston, a certified sommelier, will share her wealth of wine industry knowledge and guests will enjoy some fabulous wines.”
Jessica Sabiston is an On-Premise District Manager for Empire Distributors of Wilmington, NC. She currently covers five counties including Carteret, Craven, Pamlico, Onslow and Pender.
In 2002, Jessica graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a Minor in Biotechnology. Jessica began her career with Empire in 2004 and is a Certified Sommelier and a Certified Specialist of Wine. The wine and the beverage industry is her driving force and passion.
Guests will enjoy four appetizers from Beaufort Grocery Co. to pair with the wines at the July 21st seminar. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased by calling 252-515-0708, stopping by the Beaufort Wine and Food office at 129 Middle Lane or online.

Proceeds from the Beaufort Wine and Food Wine Store will go towards Beaufort Wine and Food’s ongoing mission to enrich life in Carteret County. Since the organization’s inception in 2004, over $688,500 has been donated to charity and non-profits serving the Crystal Coast. Recently BWF has announced its next large scale community project; funding $100,000 of a new, state of the art culinary and hospitality building on the Carteret Community College campus.
