Beaufort Wine and Food rings in the holiday season with a wine seminar December 16th, from 1:30 – 3:00 pm. The seminar will be held in the Beaufort Wine and Food retail wine store, 129 Middle Lane in Beaufort.
The seminar will feature a ‘Tour of Australia’ and will be moderated by Jeremy Overman of Country Vintner Inc.
“This seminar will take guests on a virtual tour around six different winemaking regions of Australia” said Jane Ellis, manager of the Beaufort Wine and Food retail wine store.
“Mr. Overman has travelled extensively and studied in Australia and will enthusiastically share his experiences and knowledge.”
Australia is the sixth largest wine producing country and is most noted for its technological advancement in the industry.
Local chef Charles Benjamin Park of Beaufort Grocery Co. will create selected Hors d’oeuvres to pair with each of the six wines for guests attending the December 16th seminar. Park is a longtime supporter of Beaufort Wine and Food, and when not in the restaurant, he can be found working with the Carteret Community College Escoffier culinary program.
Tickets are $25. Tickets are very limited and this event is expected to sell out.
Proceeds from the Beaufort Wine and Food Wine Store will go towards Beaufort Wine and Food’s ongoing mission to enrich life in Carteret County. Since the organization’s inception in 2004, over $670,000 has been donated to charity and non-profits serving the Crystal Coast.
