Beaufort Wine and Food opens registration for 2nd Annual road race – RUNNIN’ ON EMPTY – scheduled for Saturday, September 30th, 2017.
The race will begin in front of First Citizens Bank on Front Street, downtown Beaufort, NC

Participants can also enjoy a beer after the race, or root beer for runners under 21.
This event helps raise funds to assist Beaufort Wine and Food in its mission to support local non-profits and charities.
7:30 am – 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (not timed)
8:00 am – 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk (both officially timed)
$25 in advanced
$30 starting 9/23
$35 day of race
T-shirts and commemorative pint glass included for those registered by 9/16.
Awards presented in the 5K & 10K run to:
1st, 2nd, 3rd place overall male
1st, 2nd, 3rd place overall female
1st, 2nd, 3rd place masters male (40 and up)
1st, 2nd, 3rd place masters female (40 and up)
1st, 2nd, 3rd place Jr male (12 & under)
1st, 2nd, 3rd place Jr female (12 & under)
For racers 21 and up, be sure to hang around after to race to enjoy frosty beer and root beer will be available for any racers under 21.
All proceeds raised from the Running on Empty road race will go towards BWF’s mission to support non-profits in Carteret County.
