Meet Chef Kris Dykeman – Executive Chef, SoundSide Restaurant in Morehead City
Chef Kris lives by the motto “It’s not a job; its a life style,” words from his father Chef Ken Dykeman. Through his father, his passion and dedication to the restaurant industry took off at a young age as he grew up in Killington, Vermont.
At SoundSide, Chef Kris specializes in cooking over live charcoal. Utilizing the knowledge developed from his horticultural background, Chef Kris likes to work closely with local farms to prepare farm-to-table style dishes, and also takes pride in sourcing fresh seafood from our coastal waters.
