Beaufort Wine & Food donates $6,500 to the Beaufort Boys & Girls Club

Beaufort Wine and Food presents a check for $6,500 to the Beaufort Boys and Girls Club. The funds will go towards replacement of the club’s divider curtain, which allows the club separation for various activities hosted on a day by day basis.

Beaufort Boys & Girls Club opened in September 1997 and was the first club in the Carteret County and Craven County area.

Beaufort Wine and Food has donated almost $600,000 for non-profits and charities since its inaugural event in 2004. Over $50,000 was distributed to 10 area non-profits from the April 2016 festival alone.

Since expanding to host a variety of events throughout the year, BWF is next gearing up for its third annual Oyster Roast, Saturday, November 12th.

BWF, along with event sponsor Preston Development Co., have once again selected the Beaufort Boys and Girls Club (along with the Core Sound Museum and Heritage Center) as recipient of next month’s Oyster Roast event.
