- March 10th | $100 | 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm
- Location: Harvey W. Smith Watercraft Center
- 320 Front St., Beaufort NC, 28516
The dinner will be held Saturday, March 10th, at 5:00 pm at the NC Maritime Museum’s Harvey W. Smith Watercraft Center, 320 Front Street in Beaufort.
The event will highlight the signature painting donated to BWF by featured artist Dottie Leatherwood. The signature painting will be featured on promotional material including the limited edition fine art poster associated with the 14th annual festival week held April 25 – 29, 2018. Prints will be signed by the artist and available for sale during the event.
“Each year, our featured artist donates their painting for Beaufort Wine and Food to auction off at the Grand Reserve Tasting and Auction, raising money to donate to our partner charities,” explains Lindsay Parker, BWF executive director.
During the evening, BWF will also be announcing its next large scale community project; funding $100,000 of a new, state of the art culinary and hospitality building on the Carteret Community College campus.
“We are so thrilled to be supporting Carteret Community College on this amazing undertaking. The new facility will serve more than triple the number of students in culinary arts, baking & Pastry and will be adding a hospitality lab,” explains Parker.
“We look forward to partnering with the school and hope to see its graduating students one day hosting Beaufort Wine and Food events.”
“We’re excited for Beaufort Wine and Food’s commitment to the future of Carteret Community College,” said Dr. John Hauser, Carteret Community College President. “Their extraordinary contribution will help our students realize their dreams. We are so thankful for this partnership and their belief in our vision. Together we know we are creating opportunities for student success.”
Local chefs Charles Benjamin Park of Beaufort Grocery Co. and Anthony Garnett of Blue Ocean Market, along with guest chefs, will create a delectable menu.
Both chefs are board members and longtime supporters of Beaufort Wine and Food, and when not in their respected kitchens, can be found working with the Carteret Community College Escoffier culinary program.
During the dinner, guests will also be treated to a special selection of wines. The wines will be expertly paired with the evening’s cuisine and will be available for sale during the event and will be carried at the BWF retail wine store throughout the year.
